This performance brings an avant-garde look at the generational changes in America. From poodle skirts to hippies to soldiers, America's image has changed over time. These changes are brought about by a generation's defining moment: Kennedy's Assassination, Viet Nam, 9/11. These events and how each generation reacts to them say something about that generation: makes a statement. From fashions to slang words to political interest, each generation leaves a mark.
But the transition of power from these separate generations is the tricky part. What happens when they clash? How does that power struggle work? And who will finally stop the rain? I hope to provide an insight for these questions among others tonight...
Maybe it is our teenage years that define us? That coming of age time when our choices propel us in a direction, away from the previous generation's grasps and into a new beginning.
This play is about Life. Laugh. Cry. Love. Die.
